Lyn’s Label was established in 1984 by Lyn Newlove when her sister, Kay, had her first baby. She asked Lyn to make her a range of ‘special’ baby items that were practical yet looked great. Together they spent many hours designing a complete range of unique baby items, including pusher pants, bibs, a changing mattress, nappy bag and many more.
Once Kay’s friends saw the products, they too wanted them and so the business grew from there. Lyn decided that all mothers should be able to buy these modern, practical baby accessories – and Lyn’s Label was the result. Lyn’s Label went from strength to strength for the next ten years, until having to move overseas, Lyn made the difficult decision of putting the company to rest.
Thirty years later and with the birth of my daughter Charlotte, like so many mothers before me, I too have had the pleasure of using all the Lyn’s Label products. Realizing their unique qualities – luxurious fabrics, stylish design and exceptional functionality, I too have decided that all mothers should be able to experience these wonderful products. Similarly to Lyn’s sister Kay, I have not found any comparable products on the market and for that reason, I have decided to resurrect Lyn’s Label.
With the guidance and support of my mother Lyn, we have worked tirelessly to source fabrics, suppliers and manufacturers that share our philosophy on high customer service and quality workmanship.
Without compromising the exceptional functionality and quality that Lyn’s Label was known for, Lyn and I have enhanced some of the visual designs to accommodate today’s sophisticated and style conscious mothers.
Once available in retail outlets throughout Australia and New Zealand, Lyn’s Label products will now only be available online and at select Markets in Brisbane. This enables us to keep price points as low as possible without sacrificing quality.
