Is your Bamboo organic?
This is a question we are often asked and we are proud to say that we can not get any more organic then we are currently.
Thanks to the internet, we are privy to a lot more information than we used to be. With the stroke of just a few keys, we can research almost any topic and receive a myriad of information. Deciphering this information can often be tricky as there are no real guidelines as to what can and cannot be posted online. There is a lot of misleading and even incorrect information on the internet, particularly about Bamboo.
Which brings me back to the original question – Is your Bamboo Organic? Our answer to this is categorically – “Yes” We can say this because we have a number of world recognized certifications acknowledging our Organic fabrics that are free of harmful chemicals.
Before I detail our certification’s, firstly I’d like to say, the health and care of our customers, mothers and their babies, is our number one priority and in saying that, so too is sustainability and transparency. At Lyn’s Label, we are proud of the fact that our processing and manufacturing partners have all the necessary up to date, world-recognized certifications ensuring the fabrics we use are what we say they are.
Why can we say we are Organic?
The Lyn’s Label Bamboo range can not get any more organic then it currently is. Our fabric facility and any of their sub-contractors are regularly inspected and assessed and they all comply with the Organic Content Standard (OCS). Further to this certification, the yarns that we are using in our bamboo fabrics have been inspected and passed certified Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and our facility partners also have the relevant certifications to support this.
We are very proud of these certifications and feel OCS and GOTS provide the highest world recognized level of Organic certification.
Further to this, the fabrics produced by our facility partner have also passed all testing in accordance to the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) and they have the certification for OEKO testing for harmful chemicals. The results of the testing are made in accordance to Oeko-Tex Standard 100, product CLASS 1 for baby articles and have shown that the goods from our facility partners meet all human-ecological requirements that are presently established. Our partners also have a current OEKO-TEX for 2016.
What does all this mean?
The facility we use exclusively for our bamboo fabric manufacturing is following all the organic and safety standards that are currently in place from four key Internationally recognized bodies. They must be regularly updated and we voluntarily conduct monthly research to see if anything else exists that is better or cleaner. Having these updated certifications provide credibility to our products and assurance to our customers. We can confidently say that we are providing the cleanest, safest, most eco-friendly and sustainable products to our customers.
